Here's the easiest way to be a better driver.

Chances are you probably consider yourself to be a pretty safe driver.  After all, it’s something you do practically every day, right?  Between commuting to and from work, picking up the kids from school, and running errands, you’d have to be a skilled motorist.  We certainly hope so! But it never hurts to brush up on your know-how.

Tip of the day: Keep your distance.

THINK IN THREES!  You should stay...

3 seconds behind the vehicle in front of you for speeds of 35 – 55 MPH in fair weather,

6 seconds for more than 55 MPH or in rain, and

9 seconds for heavy snowstorms or low visibility.

We just got some exciting news from Buick & GMC!

We are pleased to announce that the Buick Verano, Encore, Enclave, and the GMC Sierra 1500 Regular Cab have been recognized by Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com as winners of their 5-Year Cost to Own award.  This designation recognizes these brands for being less expensive to operate than comparable vehicles.  This means they beat key competitors on important ownership cost factors such as insurance, depreciation and fuel costs.

Beginning this week, Monroney labels for Verano, Encore, and Enclave and Sierra 1500 Regular Cab will include the Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com 5-Year Cost to Own logo (see attachment.)  The Awards and Accolades section on Buick.com and GMC.com will also feature the latest 3rd party honors.

True or False: The best time to wash your car is on a hot summer day.

FALSE!

If your car has been sitting in the sun or you’ve just taken it for a long drive, you should wait until it cools down before soaping up.  Park it in the shade for a couple of hours—or start with the interior.  A hot exterior speeds the drying of the soap and water.  While that may sound like a good thing, it makes washing more difficult because it increases the chance of spots and soap scum.  Avoid the hassle—wait until things cool off.
