Buick set to showcase Buick LaCrosse GL Concept at Los Angeles Auto Show

Buick isn't bringing a flashy concept to the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show next week. No, it's bringing a LaCrosse design study called the LaCrosse GL, which could easily be put into production.

The concept features a combination of cabernet red paint, dark cocoa brown and caramel-colored leathers. Buick says the inspiration for the concept is from "antique jewelry, fine cuisine, and overall enriching experiences."

Outside the LaCrosse GL trades the typical shiny chrome trim bits for brushed and tinted chrome bits. Wheels are borrowed from the Regal GS parts bin, but with a stain finish added to make a more cohesive appearance.

While outside is understated, inside the LaCrosse GL is where the luxury really takes a turn. The seats feature French stitching and sculpted surfaces. The headliner is made of suede and is finished in "chocochino" brown. Leather covers the seats, door panels, and instrument panels.

While this may only be a design study, if it receives a warm reception in Los Angeles, it may not take long to make it into production.
